This video was produced during the workshop “Vide: capter/monter” at ENSCI/ Les Ateliers. The subject was the sensations and each group of students were asked to produce and edit a video of 2 minutes long on the chosen sensation. The set of the videos were put together as a “cadavre- exquis”, assembling a puzzle, since each individual video started with the precedent’s last image, connecting all videos in a wholesome and cyclic project.

In this video we have worked on the subject of speed, and the different ways to approach it and to feel it’s presence. We have chosen to show not only high speed but also slow motion images to increase the contrast between the diverse feelings of speed.

Since the speed sensation is measured by the relation between time and distance, the video approaches also relativity of speed in the displacements and movements of objects.
